News Update :

Wi-Fi-only Motorola Xoom comes with free Bluetooth keyboard in the US until June 14

Friday, June 10, 2011

Still don't know whether the Wi-Fi-only Motorola Xoom is actually worth $599? Well, maybe a free keyboard will help you decide. That's exactly what Motorola seems to think, as it's now offering a free Bluetooth keyboard for every Xoom purchased from its US store.

The Motorola Xoom may be the first tablet to ship with Android Honeycomb on board, but let's face it – it's a bit expensive. So this offer may just make things more bearable – if you were going to buy that keyboard separately anyway, that is. Since if you weren't, it's only a ‘nice to have' gift I guess.

The keyboard normally retails for $69.99. The offer is only valid until noon ET on June 14. I know that the above commercial says otherwise, but sometime between when that was made and this moment now, Motorola changed things. You still have five more days to take advantage of the offer though.

Do note however that you'll only get a free keyboard if you manually add it to your cart. If you just order the tablet, that's all you'll get.

If you're convinced, head on over to Motorola now and place your order.

The Motorola Xoom has a 10.1-inch 1280×800 capacitive touchscreen, a dual-core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, a 5 MP rear autofocus camera with dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording, a front-facing 2 MP camera for video chat, 1 GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS.
