A Wi-Fi-only version of the Eee Pad Transformer tablet has been available in the UK for about two months now, but people have been eagerly expecting the 3G variant, which could conceivably be subsidized by the mobile network operators over there, making an already quite affordable tablet even cheaper.
Both the Eee Pad Transformer, with its keyboard dock that almost turns it into a netbook if you so wish (but in the good way), and the Eee Pad Slider (seen above), with its unique form factor, are very interesting efforts by Asus to differentiate itself in the crowded (at least announcement-wise) Android Honeycomb tablet space.
Unfortunately Asus didn't release details about prices or an exact release date for either tablet. But at least we know that, in the worst case scenario, you'll only have about two and a half months of waiting left to do if you have your eyes on the Eee Pad Slider or the 3G Transformer.
