Asus Eee Pad Slider launching in the UK this “August”

Asus, which seems to be rocking a lot of your worlds thanks to its superb Eee Pad Transformer Android tablet, has announced that its next Android tablet will hit the UK in August.

The Eee Pad Slider, which is a 10.1″ Tegra 2-powered Android Honeycomb tablet with a crazy slide-out QWERTY keyboard design, will also be accompanied by the 3G version of the Eee Transformer, which will arrive here in the same month. Here's the Eee Slider:

Our official stance on this is that we might consider it, dependent on price and how sturdy that hinge mechanism is. Also, would it balance on a lap? Surely it'll be a bit top heavy?
