While
new tablet PC's seem to be flooding the market, the competition is
still wide open with the Apple iPad tablet as the device to beat. New
tablets are now trying to do it by offering better features, upgraded
software and better pricing. One of the most attractive models ever to
come out having all three elements in mind is the Ainovo Novo7 Paladin
Tablet. The Ainovo Novo7 Paladin may not exactly ring any bells when it is first mentioned. After all, it does not have the attraction that more popular brands have. But what it does have may actually be attractive to those who might have the fortune of ever hearing about this new tablet. The Ainovo Novo7 Paladin is a tablet that runs on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It comes with a 1GHz Ingenic JZ4770 Chip that uses MIPS with its low power and high integration features. It also comes with a GC860 GPU core with 3D rendering capabilities. It also comes with a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display, WiFi connectivity and supports 1080P Full HD as well as compatibility with several video and audio formats. But what may be an attractive feature of this tablet may not just be with the features that it offers. The Ainovo Novo7 Paladin is expected to cost around US$89. This tablet is currently available in China but may be seeing its way into the US market any time soon. |

Ainol Novo7 Paladin tablet retails for $120
Saturday, December 24, 2011
A couple of weeks ago we reported about the MIPS tablet that would retail for $99 and carried a shipping cost of $66, now it looks like we won't have to pay that much anymore. According to the listings on PandaWill and Merimobiles,
the Ainol Novo7 Paladin tablet can be yours for just $119.99 -
inclusive of free shipping. Now we're not sure if it's just for the
holiday season or it's going to be permanent, but what we do know is
that it's a lot cheaper than many other tablets available on the market
right now, and it's going to be running the latest version of Android: Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Ainol Novo7 Paladin tablet features a 1GHz JZ4770 Xburst MIPS processor, a Vivante GC860 graphics processor, a 7″ 800 x 480 display, 8GB of internal storage, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, Android Market, mini USB port, and WiFi. If you're looking for a basic, bare-bones Android tablet for your basic daily needs for a low price, you can consider picking one up.

Ainol tablet sports IPS display
Tuesday, May 24, 2011
Ainol of China has been spotted to run the Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, not to mention having a Cortex-A9 processor inside that ought to make sure it wont' fall short of any processing firepower if the need arises. The design itself is average at best, considering the amount of (or rather, lack of) talent in that part of the world to come up with truly inspiring designs for others to follow. Well, it is OK by their standards, and we're stoked to know that the display will be of the IPS (In Plane Switching) variety at 1280 x 800 resolution. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G and HDMI, with a front-facing camera serving you for your video call needs, coupled with a microSD memory card slot and a headphone jack. No idea on pricing as at press time though.

Ainol Honeycomb tablet surfaces with Cortex A9 processor, buttons aplenty
It's been quite a while since Ainol last popped up on our radar, but it looks like the company is now busy preparing a Honeycomb tablet that might actually stand out from the pack - for better or worse. According to a couple of teasers that have cropped up in recent days, the tablet will apparently pack an ARM Cortex A9 processor, a 1,280 x 800 IPS display of unspecified size, WiFi and 3G connectivity, a microSD card slot, HDMI out and, most noticeably, a full suite of buttons that adorn what appears to be a somewhat chunky design. Still no indication of a price, but the tablet is apparently due out sometime next month.
