Up to 1,000 Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets will be given away with the goal of enhancing the students' access to education. The tablets will be preloaded with Blackboard Mobile Learn, an app that will give students and educators mobile access to their syllabi, content, e-textbooks, grades, schedules, emergency notifications and more. The use of digital media will also aid to reduce the amount of paper used in the classroom, and will give users easy access to e-books and other interactive learning materials.
The days of lugging heavy books into classes or even forgetting to bring them are soon to be over. Anybody signing up for the Honor College pilot program at the University of Southern Mississippi this fall?
