Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 arriving in the UK next week?

While you may be able to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the UK starting today, the same thing can't be said about the smaller Galaxy Tab 8.9. Luckily, Amazon UK is shedding some light on when you should expect to find the Tab 8.9 in stores – and that's starting August 12.

The retailer is asking a whopping £605 (695 Euros or $990) for the new tablet. But I guess the price will be lower when the tablet is actually launched.

Just like Tab 10.1, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 runs Android Honeycomb, and is thinner than the iPad 2 (only 8.6mm). The tablet features a 1280 x 800 pixels multi-touch display, TouchWiz UX UI, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 3.2MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera.
