Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 dissected at the FCC

Friday, August 5, 2011

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has certainly undergone a roller coaster ride Down Under, where it was first prevented from being sold by Apple's lawsuit, followed by Samsung stepping forward to say otherwise, that they will sell a different variant of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Too bad that optimism came up short after just one day – the Galaxy Tab 10.1 will later claim to have its sales stopped. Hopefully Samsung will resolve that issue in Australia sooner rather than later, but at least you can get a peek of what is inside in the mean time.

The FCC has taken the liberty to tear the slim Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 apart, where this slim piece of hardware points toward a NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor as well as SDRAM from Samsung (who else?). SanDisk supplies the flash memory though, which is rather odd considering Samsung currently rules the roost when it comes to being the world's largest manufacturer of flash memory.
