Archos Arnova 9 G2 is a 9.7-inch Android 2.3 tablet now available for $229.99
For those of you who'd like to purchase a new Android-powered tablet but don't want to break the bank, a new offering has just gone on sale in the US.

It's the Archos Arnova 9 G2. It has a 9.7-inch 1024×768 touchscreen, a 1 GHz single-core processor, 4 GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, and a battery good for 6 hours of video watching.

And now for the bad news. The Arnova 9 G2 runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It also doesn't come with the Android Market installed, relying instead on the third party AppsLib market.

So if you care about operating system versions and such, as well as having an experience closest to that envisioned by Google, you probably aren't going to buy the Archos Arnova 9 G2. If, however, none of that matters for you, you'll be happy to know that this tablet can now be yours for just $229.99. P.C. Richard & Son is where you should be headed to purchase one.
