As
expected, Acer has brought its newest Android tablet to CES 2012: the
Iconia Tab A700, which was first spotted at the end of December. The Iconia Tab A700 runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and comes with some of Acer's own software customization, including Acer Ring and some widgets. Measuring 9.8mm in thinness, the new A700 features a 10.1 inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels, 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, HDMI, 5MP rear camera, front-facing camera, and MicroSD card support. Acer plans to launch the Iconia Tab A700 in the second quarter of the year. The tablet's price is not known at the moment, but I assume it will be on par with the price of Asus' Transformer Prime ($500 – $600). |
