Now if you're sick of Apple always seemingly going after just about everyone under the sun, here's the good news especially for any of our readers from Japan. According to NTT DoCoMo's chief, Ryuji Yamada, it seems that despite the impending lawsuit between Apple and Samsung, it will not be affecting the sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Unlike in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands where injunctions have been successfully filed, the patent situation is apparently different in Japan which is why sales will resume as per normal.
“We have heard from Samsung that there will be no obstruction to sales,” said DoCoMo chief Ryuji Yamada. “We have been told that the patent situation is different in Europe and Japan.”
Unfortunately we are not privy to the specifics of the case and we're not sure how different the lawsuit is in Japan (perhaps a much different legal system?), but we will keep you updated as it develops, but for now those living in Japan can freely go ahead and purchase the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
