The drawbacks of having a hard disk in the tablet obviously leads to an increase in weight, but hey - you get all the storage space that you need to make your tablet worthwhile using on those long trips when you don't have internet access - just imagine how many movies you can put on the tablet.
The Archos G9 will come in two sizes - 8″ and 10″ for $369.99 and $469.99 respectively for the 250GB models. Considering that the iPad 2 costs $699 for 64GB - the 10″ Archos G9 has more than double the storage for a cheaper price, talk about a bargain! Other specs of the G9 tablet include: an OMAP4 1.5GHz dual-core processor, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, and a 720p HD video recording capable camera. The Archos G9 will go on sale in September.
