There have always been rumors about Motorola releasing a successor to its XOOM Android tablet, with some leaked photos of the tablet surfacing. However, it looks like one of those tablets is one step closer to going on sale at retail outlets.
An unnamed Motorola tablet has just passed through the FCC though the
listing doesn't offer anything new about the device and here's what we
know so far:
It's going to be feature either a 8″ or 10″ (1280 x
800) display, it should have a dual-core processor of 1.2GHz, 1GB of
RAM, 16x32x64 GB of storage, WiFi, and Bluetooth support. No mention of
3G or 4G mobile broadband but that could change or there could be
multiple versions of the tablet. After all, this tablet might be the
first of many to pay a visit to the FCC. Motorola XOOM users are only
starting to get the 4G LTE upgrade
now, so it'll be interesting to see what Motorola will be offering to
compete with its previous tablet. Preloaded Ice Cream Sandwich, perhaps?
