T-Mobile has officially announced that the Huawei Springboard with Google and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 are now part of T-Mobile's tablet lineup. Although, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 has been out for a while now(just not on T-Mobile), the T-Mobile Springboard with Google is completely new.
The
Springboard, which we saw press images of leaked earlier today, spots a
7-inch HD display, a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of internal
storage, Adobe Flash support, a 5 megapixel camera in the rear with 720p
HD recording, a 1.3 megapixel camera in the front, support for
T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ network, and Honeycomb 3.2.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 spots a 10.1-inch HD display, a Tegra 2 dual-core processor, Adobe
Flash support, 1GB of RAM, a 3 megapixel camera in the rear with
autofocus and LED flash, 72op HD recording, a 2 megapixel camera in the
front, support for T-Mobile's 4G HSPA+ network, and Honeycomb 3.2 with
Touchwiz UX.
T-Mobile didn't give any info on pricing or exact
release dates, although they did mention that both devices would be
available this holiday season. The Springboard is rumored to have a
$199.99 price tag, making it the cheapest Honeycomb tablet
on contract. The Springboard will likely compete with the Amazon Kindle
Fire, which is also priced at $199.99 but does not include cellular network connectivity. We will keep you updated on the status of both of these tablets.
